Gun prices

Is there a good website to get general prices on guns? I saw a Glock 19 (9mm) for $532. I will buy local, but wanted something to compare.

There are many sites out there that list what they'd sell a gun for and if you can find an FFL to make the transfer you can even buy from them. The problem is that pricing can be quite variable. What is cheap in one shop might be comparatively expensive in another and this especially applies to different regions in your state or the country. The best I'd really hope for is a ballpark around $50 to $100 of what you can actually buy a particular gun for.

Honestly, if I were you, I look for a used one. You should be able to find a lightly used G19 for somewhere in the neighborhood of $350 - $400. A Glock is virtually indestructible anyway and they are so common, you can often find one that has barely been fired. I picked one up in great condition last year for $360 out the door.

Great SHTF handgun IMO. Plentuful ammo supply, plenty of spare parts available and both simple and easy to work on...

Here are the two best Firearm auction sites, I prefer the GunsAmerica site:

Re: Gun prices

Thanks for the info, I found a place in town and got a glock for ~$500. The range I go to matched it. So I should be getting a glock 19 sometime next week.

I compared both the 17 and the 19. I couldn't tell any difference on accuracy. Recoil and noise seemed about the same (with wearing ear protection). And figured if I decide to get a CCW or tshtf, the slightly smaller gun will be better.
